In our second set with Mimi, we went a little darker. We removed all the plants from the room, leaving only the blue mantle against the blue wall. Then, with an orange light from the right side, we created an orange glow to balance out the single window on the left. It’s important when using two light sources like this to consider your contrast. If you’re not careful, you might remove all shadows from the shot, potentially resulting in a somewhat flat appearance. To ensure we maintained some contouring shadows, we placed the orange light right against the wall. Combined with the window, there is very little fill light directly from the front, which helps build the shadows on the front of her body. There’s a free public version of the video. Members get to see the full video along with a BTS (behind-the-scenes)! Let me know what you think in the comments!
