Between the Light and Us - Socially Taboo

As a filmmaker, I’ve found myself increasingly drawn to documenting couples and their intimate moments. There’s something both challenging and deeply rewarding about capturing genuine connection between two people on camera. My recent work has pushed me to step out from behind the lens more often, becoming both creator and subject in these visual stories. I’ve discovered that understanding both perspectives helps me capture those fleeting instances of vulnerability and tenderness that might otherwise go unnoticed. When the camera disappears from consciousness, that’s when the real magic happens – the shared glances, the natural laughter, the quiet moments of understanding between partners.
